Building for the Future


RVFD is in the planning stages for a new fire station to replace our headquarters station. The new station will be located on N. Washington St. at Dawson Ave. We are undertaking a fund raising campaign to pay for the project. Look for more information in the weeks to come

RVFD Assists With Firehouse Expo Training - July 24, 2007 Firehouse Expo 2007 was invited again this year to host Hands-On Training in Rockville. Rockville firefighters assisted Firehouse Expo instructors with training, equipment, and apparatus. This years training covered engine and truck company operations.
Tower Crane Training - October 2 , 2005 - Station 3 personnel got a view of a life time while training with a neighboring construction site's 200 foot tower crane.
Training Burn - September 25, 2005 -Training burn conducted on Marion Drive by Rockville VFD, Laytonsville VFD, and Department of Fire & Rescue Services.

Third Rockville Volunteer Attends Training In Nevada - January 31, 2005 to February 3, 2005 - The Rockville Volunteer Fire Department sent its third volunteer to the Department of Energy's Responding to Terrorist Incidents in Your Community: Flammable-Liquid Fire Fighting Techniques for Municipal and Rural Firefighters at the University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy in Elko, Nevada.
